How IEPful Builds Its Guidance
IEPful's planning questions and explanations are based primarily on the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) regulations published by the U.S. Department of Education. We translate those concepts into plain-language preparation questions.
Primary federal sources

How we use them
We use these sections to decide which topics a preparation plan should cover — for example present levels, measurable annual goals, how progress is measured and reported, services and supports, evaluations and reevaluations, and transition planning for older students.
We then write conversational questions a parent can actually ask. We don't use blogs, law-firm marketing pages, social media, or forums as the authority for that content, and we don't interpret test scores or recommend specific programs or methodologies.
Important limits
Federal IDEA rules provide a nationwide baseline. State laws and school procedures may add requirements or use different timelines. IEPful does not provide legal advice or determine what rules apply to a particular situation.
